Rising from the ashes of indecision, the Cook Street Bailers came together in September 2015 out of a need to play music, whatever the barriers. Comprised of members of West My Friend and The Mark Atkinson Trio, this brand-new duo is inspired by a wide variety of genres and artists. Performing music drawing from old traditions and new, Nick Mintenko and Jeff Poynter re-imagine classic tunes by the likes of The Beatles and Van Morrison as well as newer music by artists such as Alabama Shakes and Ed Sheeran, and create their own new musical works inspired by these artists and more.
