How to support the Gallery through Skill-Sharing and Leadership Roles


​The Lake Country Art Gallery is seeking Board Members who will serve a minimum two (2) year term and assist this public Art Gallery to achieve its vision of providing high quality art and art experiences for all.  Serving as a Director is a rewarding experience and a wonderful opportunity to meet new people and to contribute to the arts culture of Lake Country
 
 
The Organization:  The Lake Country Public Art Gallery was established in 2010, and operates as a not-for-profit and charitable institution dedicated to serving the community of Lake Country and beyond through excellent exhibitions and engaging programs for a range of audiences and interests.
 
The Board of Directors meets monthly to govern and oversee the operations of the Lake Country Art Gallery. There are opportunities for Board Members to participate in Committee activities.
 
 
The Director’s Role:
• To serve as a member of a collegial and effective team of staff and volunteers that is committed supporting artists and engaging the public in meaningful arts experiences.
• To provide technical and professional leadership providing advice and guidance for the future direction of the Lake Country Art Gallery.
• To participate fully in decision making activities.
• To raise the profile of the Lake Country Art Gallery in the community.
• To build relationships with all stakeholders.
• To participate in professional development events.
 
 
Qualifications:
• An understanding of our community and a passion for our cause.
• An awareness of not for profit organizations.
• A familiarity with the Lake Country Art Gallery.
• Previous committee experience would be helpful.
• Awareness and knowledge of the arts.
• Administrative experience or expertise in an area such as: finance, marketing, human resources, fund development, legal, or other areas.
• Willingness to work collaboratively within a team.
