ANNUAL EXHIBITIONSThe Lake Country Art Gallery has up to three annual opportunities for Gallery Members to enter their work for Exhibit.
These may include: Annual Juried Member's Exhibition; Intergenerational/ Community Exhibition; Themed Exhibitions, open calls and the Over/ Under 100 Fundraising sale of art. These annual shows are selected and designed by our Curator for cohesion of theme and for engaging visitor experience. As we move away from purely juried members shows and create more opportunities to experience working with a curator, we hope that members will enjoy developing more of a conversation with us about how their individual works can come together with others for a richer and more rewarding experience. The gallery employs curatorial expertise to implement the setting of exhibitions, programs and services in accordance with nationally recognised professional standards of operation.
It is not the gallery’s mandate to sell works of art during an exhibition. However the Lake Country Art Gallery will keep a price list available for requested inquiries and will take a 20% administration fee on any works which the gallery is asked to assist in processing a sale on behalf of the artist during an exhibition. The exception to this is the fundraising Under 200 exhibition for which we actively promote sales and will take 30% commission in support of future programming at the Gallery. |
