Artist Destanne Norris Book Signing for Leah's Gift

We are excited to announce that Artist Destanne Norris will be hosting her first Book Signing event for Leah's Gift in conjunction with the current exhibition:
Me Looking at You Looking at Me.
Date: Wednesday, September 23 from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm
Destanne will read a short excerpt at 3:30 pm and 4:30 pm
Destanne Norris is an established artist based in Vernon, BC and is known for her luxurious landscape oil paintings that have featured the majestic mountain peaks, the painterly skies of weather systems, the cosmos and outer space, as well as the internal personal abstract landscapes that live within each of us. She has exhibited in both public, university and artist-run galleries, and her work has been collected by the Alberta Foundation for the Arts, the Penticton Art Gallery, Jasper National Park, the Consulate General Japan, and Finning Canada to name a few. She is currently represented by Gallery Odin, Silver Star Mountain. BC.
Norris’ book about losing her daughter Leah has been a long time coming.
“This is a story that has been growing inside of me for many years and I’m so happy to finally share it with the world. The experience of losing my daughter utterly transformed my life and I hope that in sharing my story I can touch the hearts of others a million times over,” explains Norris.
