Dear Friends,
I want to invite you to a series of workshops and conferences that I will be conducting about the history of the Okanagan, and aimed at children ages 6-9, at the Museum of Kelowna this February 24 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM, and a second one from 1:00 to 2:00 PM; and also, another one at the Art Gallery in Lake Country on March 11 from 11:00 AM to noon.
It is a unique activity as part of my writing project of a children's book of history that I have titled "The History of my City told by the Children of my City".
In this project, my goal is to gather children's perspective of the local past, by asking them to make drawings based on the history that I will be narrating to them using my own artwork. After my presentation, every child will have the chance to make their own drawings of the local history, which will be considered for use in an upcoming publication. It'll be a fun way for your kids to learn about their local history through drawings and storytelling! Please feel free to drop by, it is a free event.
For more information, please contact me via email or by phone the Art Gallery.
All the best, thanks!
