Picture
Earth, sky, bark and leaves are the elements of the landscape that will be explored in this 4 week art quilting course.

This class is designed for you to explore your creative side. You will not be taught to  reproduce the class sample, but rather teach you the methods necessary for creating your own art quilt with strata and trees.

Techniques covered:
-Creating strata that allows for plenty of exploration of texture, value, perspective, and techniques
 used to create visual drama.
-Create bark with ragged edged applique and leaves with layers and cutaways.
-Expand your machine quilting horizons, using stitching to enhance your piece. See what
straight stitches can do and and discover free motion options
- Learn fabric framing options or choose to bind and hang using traditional methods.

Class Runs Thursday Evenings from Sept 26 - Oct 24th

This class begins with a shorter introductory class on Sept 26th which will run from 6:30 to 7:30pm in which participants will be introduced to the quilting sample (27" X 18"). Fabric options and requirements, as well as supplies will also be discussed.
