This workshop is designed for beginners and intermediate students. Whether you are
new to oils or have worked in oils before , this workshop will give you valuable insight to
working with this medium, including:
 underpainting
 laying in values
 working lean to fat
 blending colours on your canvas
 Cleaning up
 
This workshop will also focus on :
 Oil painting tips and tricks - valuable information about oil paints, mediums, substrates
and brushes
 Working Alla Prima - wet on wet
 creating your own palette of colors
 Color mixing
 Brushwork
Ann will start each morning off with some fun exercises in color mixing and values,
followed by a short demo on starting a painting, blocking in the big shapes and getting
the values in.
Afterwards, each particpant will be working on a painting of their own choosing, with
one-on-one assistance as needed.
