Family Art Drop-in  - Saturdays 12:30 - 2:30

11/9/2014

Family drop in at the Lake Country Art gallery is a fun and creative journey, focusing both on the exploration of creative processes and on developing strong foundational skills. Children will explore a variety of fine art mediums.

Instructor Tina Knooihuizen Bio:

As a mother of 4 young creators, teaching art began at home and soon grew into volunteer time in classrooms, camps and daycares. My own studio has served as a classroom to many budding artists over the last few years; where together we explored a vast number of artistic mediums. I thoroughly enjoy watching kids create works of art. As a teacher it is my greatest joy to pass on a love of art and creating. It is my hope that every student leaves my classroom feeling a sense of pride and a continued desire to create.

My current artistic outlets are painting original works of art, photographing scenery and conceptual portraits; collecting and refurbishing furniture and designing interior spaces for my company ‘Home at Last Interiors‘; some how all of these mediums inter-connect.

My work has been displayed locally in the Lake Country Art Gallery, Gallery Vertigo, with Carrs Landing Art tour in various locations, the Hot Holiday Homes and flower power garden tours .

TREASURE MAPPING YOUR FUTURE WITH PAINT AND COLLAGE

11/8/2014

Picture
In this class Sea taps into her past as a motivational trainer and her present as a professional artist and art instructor. Treasure mapping is something usually carried out at the turn of the year to bring into being a designed future as opposed to an accidental outcome.

Treasure mapping is a time-honoured method in the human potential movement, but this class adds the twist of placing it in the domain of artistic creation. Using collage and acrylic techniques you will create a personal and highly inspirational piece which will power you forward into a bright future.

This is an experiential class based on tapping into your inner energy and magnifying and projecting your dreams for the future. This class is for you and only you; it is a personal experience designed to bring forth your true self. The art you create is designed to remind you of your inner strength and support you in creating the future of your dreams.

No prerequisite. Open to beginners and experienced artists.

Supply list on request. Preparation required.
