  | Encaustic Explorations Winter 2024 Workshop Saturday, February 17 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM This full-day workshop will teach students all the basics of the wonderfully versatile wax-based medium - encaustic. Subjects covered include encaustic studio safety, electric iron and stylus use, hot palette, layering, accretion, fusing, and brush work. Participants will execute a variety of technique exercises and complete a small painting to take home. All professional encaustic paints, tools, and equipment will be provided. This course is perfect for beginners or anyone wanting a refresher course in encaustics. No experience in any art medium is necessary!
