 | Painting masterclass with Artist Ann Willsie April 2024 There are many aspects to consider when painting a landscape, including composition, design, values and color harmony. During this workshop we will talk a little about values and their importance to the success of your painting. This begins with a block in of darks and lights, basically a template, which can then be enhanced with colour notes. We will also be talking about atmospheric perspective, and how to make that work in your painting. Each day will begin with a discussion of the topics, followed by exercises to reinforce those topics, and finally a demo by Ann. The rest of the day you will be working on your own paintings, with lots of one-on-one help. |
