Just like many other businesses around the valley, the Lake Country Art Gallery is gearing up for the holiday season and it’s biggest show of the year. The 4th Annual Under 100 exhibition is comprised of small, one of a kind, original artworks by over 50 local Okanagan artists available for sale for under $100.
“We’ve had a great response from artists for this year’s Under 100 exhibition”, says Katie Brennan, curator of the Lake Country Art Gallery. “There are a good number of artists who have exhibited with us before, as well as a good number of new artists this year, which is always exciting”.
In total, the exhibition will showcase the work of over 50 local Okanagan artists, including: Lousie Adams, Miranda Aschenbrenner, Kara Barkved, Roseanne Camp Bennett, Maud Besson, Marissa Brown, Virginia May Brown, Heather Burton, Jason Chan, Elizabeth Christie, Kristen Amy Cresswell, Sea Dean, Cindy Downey, Vikki Drummond, Brazen Edwards, Darrel Giesbrecht, Alicia Gregori, Michael Griffin, Rob Guenette, Cherie Hanson, Darcie Hodge, Margaret Kyle, Jim Laing, Debbie Lawrence, Hanss Lujan, Kayleigh Mace, Jolene Mackie, Joyce Major, Frieda Martin, Julie Martin, Ashtyn McKenzie, Sharlene McNeill, Marlene McPherson, Martha Moore, Fiona Neal, Alice Pallet, Sarah Parsons, Denise Patrick, Joanne Sale, Silvia Scriver, June Seed, Consuelo Seitz, Tina Siddiqui, Jena Stillwell, Sheila Tansey, Shelly Thompson, Julia Trops, Judy Wasyleshko, Bobby Vandenhoorn, and Heather Yip.
In addition to small works priced under $100, the Lake Country Art Gallery will also have a selection of works under $200 and $300 available. The exhibition will also cover the walls of the Lake Country Coffee House and showcase pieces in the Lake Country Art Gallery’s Gift Shop, which is located in LCAG’s Art House next door.
All proceeds from the sale go to the artists and to support the Lake Country Art Gallery. The 4th Annual Under 100 exhibition opens at the Lake Country Art Gallery on November 23rd and continues until December 21st 2013. Admission is free and open to the public.
