The Lake Country Art Gallery’s upcoming exhibition ‘Upside Down’ opens Friday May 26 featuring the work of artists Dianne Schnieders and Alexandra Goodall.
This exhibition explores the interconnected relationship between humanity and nature, and our connection to animals in particular. The gallery is morphing into an installation space for the summer, starting at the end of May through to the end of August.
Dianne Schnieders graduated from UBCO in 2015 with a B.F.A. Dianne’s work examines animal welfare and the ethics of human/animal relationships as fellow species.
Alexandra Goodall is a multidisciplinary artist living in the Okanagan Valley. She is drawn to the shaping of perception through the arts, tweaking processes in the service of insight, especially as it pertains to embodiment.
Meet the artists at the opening reception on Friday May 26th from 6-8pm and plan to attend the Existential Cafe and join the conversation on Saturday May 27th from 2-3:30pm.
‘Upside Down’ runs from May 26th to July 8th.
