MORAL PANIC, WHISPER CAMPAIGNS & WICKED PROBLEMS
Gallery Members' Exhibition Moral Panic: a widespread feeling of fear, often an irrational one, that some evil person or thing threatens the values, interests, or well-being of a community or society. Whisper Campaigns: A method of persuasion in which damaging rumours or innuendo are spread about the target, while the source of the summers seeks to avoid being detected while they are spread. Wicked Problems: A social or cultural problems that is difficult or impossible to solve because of its complex and interconnected nature. Wicked Problems lack clarity in both their aims and solutions, and are subject to real-world constraints which hinder risk-free attempts to find a solution. The Lake Country Art Gallery invites all the gallery members to submit a work of art based on the theme(s), Moral Panic, Whisper Campaigns and Wicked Problems. All sizes and mediums will be considered. Please send an email to wandalock@lakecountryartgallery.ca with your intention to participate plus any special equipment requirements. Submission deadline is February 25th. Artwork delivery to gallery from March 1st to 3rd. All artists exhibiting in this exhibition will be asked to write a statement relating their art piece to the exhibition theme(s), 300 words maximum.
