"COLOR CONTROL" IN ACRYLICS AND WATERCOLOR WORKSHOP WITH JIM KALNIN

LCAG Acrylic & Water Colour Workshop – Colour Control

Participants in this workshop are asked to bring the following:

• Acrylic or water colour paints, brushes, etc.
• Painting clothes or smocks.
• A small painting, print or drawing of your own making, and/or a photograph.

In this three hour workshop you will explore some of the ways that colour influences the expression of a painting. A brief introduction will be followed by a colour transition scale using a primary colour and its complementary colour. This will be followed by making three small, simple colour studies from your painting or photograph. These paintings will have the same subject and composition but three varied colour schemes. You will be asked to work quickly and without much detail in order to accomplish all three studies within the scheduled class time. Paper for this project will be provided.

$30 for non-members, $25 for members.
