HOW TO DESIGN A GREAT LANDSCAPE

TWO DAY WORKSHOP with Ann Willsie
This  workshop is designed for beginners and intermediate students -  all mediums welcome. Ann will be working in oils
This workshop will focus on composition, structure and design of your landscape. Before a painting is even begun, decisions have to be made about the overall design. Some of these decisions include:

1. Focal Points
2. Design Principles
3. Space
4. Orientation
5. Use of values
6. Colour harmony

Each morning will start with a brief discussion of the above subject matters, followed by  exercises designed to help you think about the composition before starting. I will be doing short demos throughout the day, as well as helping each individual with their painting on a one-on-one basis.
You will be asked to bring your own reference photos and we will spend some time going over them prior to painting.
