“Fun with Acrylic Painting” Classes for Adults & Children Course #1 - Tuesdays; Jan. 20, 27, Feb. 3 & 10, 2015 Class Fee: $172.00 (includes all art supplies). Course #2 - Tuesdays; Feb. 17, 24, March 3 & 10, 2015 Class Fee: $172.00 (includes all art supplies). (Please note that Course #1 is not a prerequisite for Course #2) Adult Class: Tuesdays, 1-3pm or 7-9pm Children Class: (7-12 yrs.) Tuesday, 3:30 – 5:30pm “Fun with Acrylics” is designed to introduce you to the wonderful world of Acrylic Painting. Classes are led by instructor demonstrations, painting a variety of colourful and interesting subjects including still life and landscapes. Teaching also includes colour theory, design and technique, helping you to understand the many special effects possible with this exciting medium. Location: The Art House an extension of The Lake Country Art Gallery 10356 Bottom Wood Lake Rd, Lake Country, BC, Canada Dates: January 12, 2015 10:00am to 4:00pm - $125 plus model fees This figure painting workshop is designed for artists who want to learn the alla prima painting technique through observation of the live model. Alla prima means "at once" in Italian and is an approach to painting that is done in a quickly executed wet-into-wet fashion. Artists of all skill levels will have an opportunity to develop an alla prima painting, utilizing a full palette. The course will include demonstrations, discussions and individual instruction at the easel. Discussions will include, comparative measuring, proportion and structure of the face and features, as well as glazing, value, edges, composition, light, and modeling with color temperature. Workshop policies: Payment can be made on the first day of the workshop in cash or cheque. There is a $80 fee to cancel registration for a workshop. Cancellations in the last 24 hours require a full payment for the class. Cancellation fees are based on the honour system and a cheque can be mailed in the event of a cancellation. |
