The title Anthropocene refers to the proposed geological epoch that marks humanity’s significant influence on Earth, from its oceans and ecosystems to its geology and climate. Johnston's exhibition invites viewers to contemplate our role in shaping the planet’s future. You are invited to join us in conversation with Byron, the artist behind the current exhibition inside and outside of the Lake Country art Gallery. As Byron dives into the stories and ideas that shape his work, discover more about the creative process and themes explored while considering the intersections of nature, time, and human impact. This year there is something a little different at our Art House, Its haunted! Lake Country Art Gallery invites you to step into the unknown with uniquely haunted spaces, a variety of themed games, and creative crafts, there’s something for everyone. Venture outside to our Unexpected Sculpture Garden where ghostly figures and haunting art installations come to life in the shadows, enjoy ghoulish baked treats and face painting. Discover a fright in our main gallery and get lost among the gnarled vines. This is an event you won’t want to miss. Are you brave enough to face what’s inside? October 26 & 27 Family-Friendly Hours: We’ve got something for everyone! Bring the little ones for a family-friendly experience (no actors) with crafts and games from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Perfect for kids who want to explore without the frights!
