WALK THROUGH THE ANTHROPOCENE

10/3/2024

.. with artist Byron Johnston
Picture
Byron Johnston is an acclaimed artist with national and international exhibitions, and has also been a long-time educator, teaching sculpture at the University of British Columbia Okanagan.

The title Anthropocene refers to the proposed geological epoch that marks humanity’s significant influence on Earth, from its oceans and ecosystems to its geology and climate. Johnston's exhibition invites viewers to contemplate our role in shaping the planet’s future.

You are invited to join us in conversation with Byron,
the artist behind the current exhibition inside and outside of the Lake Country art Gallery. As Byron dives into the stories and ideas that shape his work, discover more about  the creative process and themes explored while considering the intersections of nature, time, and human impact.

Meet us inside the gallery on Sunday November 3rd at 1pm
light snacks and refreshments available
