 Dead of Winter Saturdays
Presented by Lake Country Art Gallery and Art House Come in it’s cold! Dead of Winter Saturdays are back! Escape the winter chill, find a cozy spot in the gallery for some art making. Step into creativity with Dead of Winter Saturdays, a series of free drop-in art experiences at the gallery. These two special Saturday drop-in events take place on January 31 and February 14, from 11:00 am–2:00 pm, for relaxed art-making, conversation, and connection with the gallery team and community members. Throughout the month, visitors are also invited to enter the immersive exhibition The Spaces In Between, where you are encouraged to colour directly on the gallery walls and become part of the evolving installation. Add to the immesrive Gallery experience with two 3D collage activity days, where you can explore contemporary art collage. No experience needed and all supplies provided. Participants are welcome to take their completed projects home. Jan 31st and Feb 14th. Drop in anytime between 11am-2pm All ages and abiities welcome Materials provided Free admission however donations are gratefully accepted to help cover material costs. with Amy Van Dongen and in collaboration with @orllakecountrylibrary Select Tuesdays at the Gallery Free/by donation Drop-in community event| 10:30-11:15am Our Story Time will feature books related to themes in the exhibitions, some movement with animal yoga and free art time. This project offers a space for parents, guardians and daycare workers to take little ones to in Lake Country. In January-Febraury you can also COLOUR the WALLS and fill THE SPACES IN BETWEEN 2026 Winter Dates: January 6th, 13th, 27th February 10th |
