BOOKKEEPING SUPPORT CONTRACT

BOOKKEEPING SUPPORT (PART-TIME CONTRACT)
The Lake Country Art Gallery is seeking an experienced Bookkeeping Support professional to assist with routine financial administration and weekly QuickBooks data entry.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking for meaningful part-time work with a flexible schedule while supporting arts and culture in the community.

Established in 2010, the Lake Country Art Gallery is a registered charitable, not-for-profit organization dedicated to enriching our community through contemporary art exhibitions, educational programming, and creative engagement for people of all ages.

Job Details

THE ROLE
​Working closely with the Executive Director, you will support the Gallery's day-to-day bookkeeping by:
  • Entering financial transactions into QuickBooks on a weekly basis.
  • Maintaining organized digital financial records and supporting file management.
  • Recording invoices, receipts, and other financial documentation.
  • Assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Supporting banking activities and routine financial administration.
  • Preparing financial information and reports as requested.

​Please note that specialized accounting functions such as payroll processing, year-end procedures, and financial statement preparation are overseen by the Gallery's accountant, allowing this role to focus primarily on accurate bookkeeping and financial data management.

Qualifications
  • Previous bookkeeping experience is required.
  • Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks.
  • Experience with Dext and Karbon is an asset.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining regular communication with the Executive Director.

Position Details
  • Approximately 10-15 hours per month.
  • Flexible scheduling.
  • Much of the work may be completed remotely, with occasional on-site meetings or banking tasks as required.
  • Modest monthly * compensation provided.
