Join art educator Brock Gratz for After School Art at the Lake Country Art House. Brock is local artist educator that teaches over 20 different disciplines. This six week series includes 20 hours of instructions and materials.

About Tina: an artist and long-serving instructor who's been teaching painting, drawing and mixed media courses in the Okanagan for nearly 20 years. Trained as a graphic artist, Tina has since exhibited in group and solo shows in the United Kingdom, USA, Canada, Pakistan and Dubai since 1976; and awarded for portraiture and abstract paintings, namely 2003 Open International Portrait Competition in Toronto. Tina teaches our Open Studio Fridays program. This two half-day camp invites young artists 7 to 14 of age, to use photography to look more closely at the world around us including a gallery visit, scavenger hunt, mindful photography techniques and making their very own photo-book. No experience necessary just bring your enthusiasm and a camera or phone camera if you have one. Cameras are available to loan for the the camp. Cost is $50 for members and $60 for non-members. TapIn is a drop-in space for Teens offered on a by-donation basis each Friday 3:30pm - 5:30pm. Amy Van Dongen leads our TapIn: Creative SafeSpace for Teens and is an Okanagan based artist & art therapist. With an Arts Degree from University of Waterloo and a Graduate Diploma from the Kutenai Art Therapy Institute, Amy has over 8 years experience creating art with a variety of populations from small children, teens, kids/teens with autism, adults, seniors, adults with diversabilities and Mamas and babies. This group has grown from strength to strength and is planning a pop-up exhibition of this year's work coming soon - watch this space! We are currently seeking continuing funding to help support free access to these valuable programs - please contact us if you are interested in creating a sponsorship or want to gift a donation to help support this or other community access to arts programs. Two after school programs offered this spring!
After School Art takes place on Wednesdays from 3:30-5:30 and serves children aged 7 - 12. YOUTH DRAW takes place on Tuesdays from 3:30-5:30 and serves tweens aged 11 -14. Both classes will be lead by long-time Lake Country resident and artist Charles Scholl and this Spring Season provides 20 hours of instruction at $200 Gallery Members price, or $225 non-members.
